EyeSouth Partners Overview

Retina Associates of Middle Georgia is affiliated with EyeSouth Partners, an eye care physician services organization committed to partnering with leading physicians to build a premier network of eye care services in throughout the Southeast.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in the care, treatment and education of the practice’s patients.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Obtains patient history and chief complaint, checks vision, instills eye drops and charts procedures for medical records/EMR
  • Performs diagnostic testing including OCTs, visual fields, FAs, and fundus photography
  • Fields patients’ questions during visits and via phone, providing advice and resolving problems in consultation with the doctors
  • Uses, cleans, and maintains equipment and supplies appropriately
  • Schedules surgeries with patients
  • In accordance with doctor's orders preps and assists with any needed in-office procedures
  • Submits patients’ prescriptions and prescription refills, with physician’s approval
  • Scribes and assists doctors professionally and promptly with office procedures and patient care

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION:  High school diploma. College degree in the field of science preferred but not required. 

 

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of one to two years experience in a healthcare or ophthalmology setting preferred but not required.  

 

REQUIREMENTS: Computer skills, customer service skills, ability to travel to other office locations on occasion, ability to stay late or come in early if needed.
