Position Summary

An Ophthalmic Imager I requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. The Imager I position is an entry-level clinical patient-facing position conducting tests such as visual field testing, OCT, fundus photography, corneal topography, and optical biometry.

Pay Range - $21.20-$23.10/hr.  Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Clinical
•Support efficient and effective clinic flow of patients
•Assist with photography needs including optical biometry, fundus photos, OCT, VF, and topography.
•Upload and verify all patient images are correctly attached to the EMR
•Add diagnostic imaging to the clinical chart note with corresponding documentation for billing and coding purposes.
•Resolve queries regarding imaging
•Report any issues or concerns regarding imaging equipment or process to clinical leadership
•Report to clinic leadership the need for additional inventory of medical or office supplies
•Complies with all practice procedures and protocols. Complies with all State and Federal regulations.

 

Administrative
•Report inventory and supply needs to leadership timely and as needed for supply ordering
•Participate in daily team huddles and regularly scheduled meetings as planned and/or required.
•Understand and accept responsibility to report potential or suspected errors to supervisor or Compliance manager
•Contribute to the team effort by completing additional tasks or projects as needed.
•Maintain a positive attitude consisting of cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy, and professionalism

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent years related experience preferred
  • Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
  • Ophthalmic and/or optometric clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight or manager presence
