Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe

• This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making.

   

  Ophthalmic skills include:

  • Obtaining and documenting patient history
  • Determining visual acuity
  • Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician
  • Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR, inputting exam information into EMR for the physician
  • Assisting with certain in office procedures
  • Providing patient services
  • Maintaining equipment and instruments

• Understanding that dependent upon need there may be instances where he/she is asked to travel to satellite offices

• Must be flexible with regards to shift ( as hours may vary and are dictated by clinic needs).
• Graduation from an accredited high school
• 3 to 5 years of Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate. Previous medical field experience a plus.
• Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as required (Must be willing to work out of Cumming, Dacula and Gainesville offices)
