Position Summary

The HR Project & Integration Lead will be a member of the HR team and will be focused on the successful management and delivery of departmental and HR M&A integration projects, to include the standardization and optimization of our processes for scalability and ability to identify critical risk factors and identify growth value add opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

HR Project Management

  • Leads HR project management for active HR operations projects and acquisition projects, to include HR integration efforts in partnership with the HRBP team, as well as our stakeholders across Operations, Accounting & Finance, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, Local/Regional Leadership, and RCM.
  • Plans, coordinates and executes HR projects across the organization including tracking and reporting on status, risks, issues and dependencies across all workstreams.
  • Ensures project roles and responsibilities are clear and tasks are assigned correctly.
  • Nurtures strong stakeholder relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Creates and optimizes reusable project playbooks, trainings, and methodologies for scalability (e.g., documentation standards, SOP templates, process maps, etc.)
  • Manages cross-functional stakeholders, balancing multiple goals and assessing the best way forward in a complex environment.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with HR team members across multiple locations to plan, execute and keep on track projects of all sizes, managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Prepares project/work stream meeting agendas, documents meeting outcomes and next steps. Ensures next steps are actioned, following up with key stakeholders, as needed.
  • Leverages technology for efficiency, such as Excel, Smartsheet’s, etc. to develop, gather and update data from stakeholders, utilizes data filters, creates pivot tables, formats and analyzes large amounts of data.
  • Gathers and compiles information regarding scope, timeline, tasks, and dependencies and develop detailed project plans using project management tools/software.
  • Facilitates meetings and written project updates with key internal project team members, business stakeholders and leadership through creation of emails, decks, follow up messages and other mediums.
  • Maintains general knowledge of applicable laws and regulations effecting HR functions by staying abreast of current HR principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • May cross train with other HR roles for purposes of succession planning and professional development opportunities.
  • Contributes to the team effort by completing other tasks/projects as needed.

 HR Integration Project Management

  • Responsible for all tasks and activities outlined within the integration project playbook and continuously identifies opportunities to streamline the playbook for process improvement.
  • Manages the handbook analysis due diligence to identify key areas of consideration for integrations to ensure equitable transition of employees to the EyeSouth platform.
  • In conjunction with ESP’s Benefits Broker, participates in benefits due diligence to create equitable mapping of all PTO and medical/dental insurance plans.
  • In conjunction with the CHRO and HR Director, completes HR analysis of acquisitions as it relates to job title alignments and audits for FLSA compliance.
  • In conjunction with the HR People Analytics Consultant, completes analysis of historical turnover, compensation, and OT metrics and trends.
  • Provides thought leadership and analytical rigor to identify operational and integration issues pre- and post- acquisition, developing solutions, and driving decision making and escalation across multiple stakeholders.
  • Accelerates integration timing without being disruptive to the acquired affiliate’s performance, providing change management and milestone execution plans to the acquired company.
  • In conjunction with payroll and benefits, coordinates integration schedule and open enrollment meetings.
  • Supports the HR integration process by completing related tasks/projects as needed to ensure a successful and consistent integration.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field required, or the equivalent of 3-5 years related experience.
  • 5+ years of HR compliance experience required.
  • 2+ years of project management preferred but not required.
  • Professional HR certification strongly preferred but not required.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office environment.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required (plane/car).
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
  • Team player that develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal partners and can effectively engage and ability to build consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
