Position Summary

We are actively recruiting for a research coordinator  to join our team at Clayton Eye Center.

Responsibilities

A Research Coordinator I will be expected to meet the following performance benchmarks:

  • Adhere to CEC and CECR policies and procedures which include HIPAA, OSHA, EEO regulations, CECR SOPs and GCPs.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely and organized manner to meet enrollment goals and sponsor timelines
  • Effectively communicate deadlines, challenges, and expectations with director, team lead and more experienced coordinators in the team to share the occurrence and learn how to manage the situations.
  • Work ethically and with integrity, performing all tasks to GCP standards.
  • Exhibit sound judgment, making timely decisions independently and seeking guidance from director and team lead when appropriate. Ability to successfully delegate tasks to research assistants when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, accuracy and thoroughness when completing all tasks
  • Adaptability and willingness to work flexible hours (which include some weekends and evenings as needed)

Qualifications

A Research Coordinator I will be expected to have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in a Healthcare Related Field (or)
    • High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and One year of Research Experience (or) one year medical experience (such as medical assistant, ophthalmic tech, pharmacy tech, or nursing)
  • Basic Mathematical Skills and ability to apply math concepts
  • Independent Reasoning Ability
  • Basic Computer Skills and Data Management
  • GCP Certification (or to be attained within 30 days of hire)
  • PCO (ophthalmic assistant knowledge) within 30 days of hire)
  • IATA Certification (or to be attained within 60 days of hiring)
  • Phlebotomy skills preferred
