Participates in the teaching of patients and family and provides leadership by working cooperatively with the other health care team members. Collaborates with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

The Medical Record Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day processing of medical records (paper and electronic), as well as organizing, filing, and retrieving patient medical records. Other duties include but are not limited to scanning medical documents (including diagnostic testing), patient exam notes, external medical correspondence and medical records requests; assist surgery scheduler with administrative tasks, paperwork, and phone calls; cover front desk and other administrative duties as assigned.
